I was not expecting to be pandemic obsessed at this point. In fact, like many of us, the pandemic initially presented as just another short term disaster to be endured only as long as it took for the natural reparative processes, which we have so much faith in, to do away with the virus. It seems relying on natural immunity, vaccination and the caring power of the people has fallen well short. Today, as we insist the worst is behind us, more deaths, more hospitalisations, more absenteeism, more reluctance for follow up vaccination, are teamed, recklessly, with government apathy and a community that believes its over when it clearly is not. Hmmmmm.
